We had a private tour with Brent of a local chocolate artistan and a wine tasting experience which came with a very interesting historical tour of the Medieval cite and the Old Bastide. The chocolate experience was at Les Chocolats Broccardi and the creative artist there is Phillippe with his wonderful creations and passion for pure and proper chocolate! Then around the streets of the Old Bastide with interesting facts that you wouldn't necessarily get in any guide books. After coffee in the Place Carnot, we moved onto Le Canard Bleu which opened for us exclusively, and a lovely selection of wines to taste, along with information about sourcing, making and the selling of the local wines - all in an upbeat and interesting manner. Full marks to Brent for putting this on and I recommend anyone coming to Carcassonne to do this tour! Well done!
This was a very fun tour. Brent was very knowledgeable about the town and the stops were at great places where we were welcomed and treated very well. I highly recommend it as a way to spend a good part of the day outside the walls of Carcassonne
Wonderful time on the chocolate and wine walking tour. Outstanding history mixed in with the tasting. We were lucky to have our tour on market day so we also walked through the and tasted cheese and other market items.Chocolate stop was informative and tasty, and the wine stops were also very informative and good.Very small group (6 of us) got to know each other.Highly recommend when you visit.
An amazing wine and chocolate tour including history of Carcassonne. Brent has chosen some amazing places to visit and his passion and knowledge really shines through. I did this tour solo and felt instantly at ease in the group, they were a lovely bunch. Brent ensures each of his guests have individual attention and he genuinely wants people to enjoy themselves. The tasting portions are very generous and while tasting wines we were offered some extremely tasty nibbles. I really enjoyed this tour and will be doing it again when my family visit me. My wife and I arrived in Carcassonne on the Wednesday evening and had booked to go on the tour on Thursday morning. This was a great choice as the tour enabled you to see a lot of the hidden areas of the town. The chocolate tasting was great with some new flavours that were delicious. Trying the different wines of the region was good and definitely got us in the holiday spirit :). It was also great to meet the different people that put a lot of effort into the crafts they have developed. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and would definitely recommend it.
